Well I have to say this is one of the most memorable playoffs of any sport i’ve ever witnessed. We won, first since 1986, against the Lakers, with a team full of players who I adore. My favorite Celtic of all time finally got some recognition and won series MVP. No other Celtic great had to endure the awful years Paul had to, and got rewarded. Red definetly had his hand in on this one. ALSO: this win came on my 30th birthday while I was in the Garden to witness it all. Best birthday present ever. Just awesome. More photos to come.

Its finally here.. The team we’ve been behind all season has finally made it to the ultimate goal. Not only the finals, the finals with the L.A. LAKERS. Its fitting, aside from the historical reasons, since they are the two best teams in the NBA; Unlike in baseball where we saw the Red Sox pounce twice on very uneven matchups in the world series. I can’t describe how happy I was watching the final few minutes of game 6.. Winning on the road, clinching a spot in the playoffs.. And Paul Pierce, I can’t be happier for him. He has stuck around in Boston for a long time waiting for this and stepped up HUGE for these playoffs. Being at the Garden for these games has made it even better. But its not over yet, we still have a very good Lakers team to beat.
BEAT LA!!

runners after the boston marathon
Originally uploaded by tommyvon
No, not a reference to the defunct free daily newspaper, but Boston has woken up finally from winter. Marathon Monday has come and gone already, which is always the unofficial the start of the nice weather season. I managed to get a few shots of the runners after the race.
Also, The Red Sox are back, the Bruins are gone (unfortunately - that was close!) and the Celtics are kicking some serious ass. I was at game one and the (new)Garden hasn’t been that nuts ever. I can’t wait to be there for the NBA finals, which will hopefully be Boston vs The LA Lakers.
Lastly, on an unrelated note, I stumbled upon the D-Nice gallery. D-nice is a former rapper from the late 80s who was part of the Boogie Down Productions / KRS-one crew. He’s now a photographer and DJ and has some very interesting shots of New York and Hip Hop legends. Check it out.

It’s that time of year again, finally. Baseball is back, and this year it was at 6am. Thanks to Directv, I missed most of the game however I caught the end of win at the Tokyo Dome. If you haven’t already, check out all the great coverage at boston.com of the Red Sox in Japan. Seems all the players are amped on Japan and the japanese are now in love with the sox. I wonder though, why were the sox in “away” jerseys?
All is right in the world now, the Celtics are close to an NBA championship and the Sox are going to win it all again.

No this isn’t a photo I took, and it isn’t someone i love (or even know).. But this is from an amazing photo project titled “The Ones We Love“. Dozens of photographers took several shots each of a person who they love and why, which was organized in this collection. Take some time to check them out, all different, most very good!

Haven’t been updating the site in a while, sorry about that! Life has been busy. Probably the busiest winter and most depressing one in a long time (for a multitude of reasons). Anyway.. Heres a photo I took of that eclipse a few weeks ago. Now that the sun is setting at a normal hour (like 7pm) I’ll have a lot more opportunity’s to actually get some good new shots up.
